The Merced Colony Grange was the first local Grange in Merced County. It was Grange #527 established on July 31, 1933. The Merced Colony Grange built a hall on Childs Avenue, which served as the meeting place and location of many social events. The hall is currently rented to a local church group, but the Grange continues to meet at alternative locations and host events in Merced.
